Save time, labor and money by mixing in closed shipping drums. Eliminate transfer, clean-up and special containers. End-over-end tumbling action does a thorough mixing job to insure homogeneity. Mix dry powders, wet grains, dyes and coloring liquids, fine and coarse granules, settled liquids and powders. Ideal for mixing highly viscous substances. The sturdy frame resists the stress and shock of tumbling. It has a heavy structural steel base, a 1.5 shaft, and ball bearings. Non-explosion proof AC models include a prewired control box with start, stop and jog functions. Explosion proof models also include a control box, but require an electrician to wire according to your local codes. End-Over-End Rotators are made to handle a 55-gallon steel drum. To assist in loading a drum, a Morse Drum Lifting Hook is included. Attach the Lifting Hook to an overhead hoist, engage the hooks onto the top and bottom chines of the drum, and lift the drum into the holder. Place the chains of the drum holder around the drum and lock securely with two load binders. The ends of the chains are then placed around the load binder handles and fastened with a safety snap to prevent unintentional opening. Single Drum Rotators: Rotate one 55-gallon steel drum end-over-end. 1 HP motor. Base dimensions: 30" x 54" Double Drum Rotators: Rotate two 55-gallon steel drums simultaneously. Drum holders rotate on the same axis but are 90 degrees out of phase with each other. 1.5 HP motor. Base dimensions: 30" x 88" CUSTOM ORDERS ARE OUR SPECIALTY! NOTE: OSHA requires that ALL rotators to have enclosure with drive mechanism, so drum cannot revolve unless guard is in place. Options: Load Crane: The Load Crane assists in loading a drum into the tumbler for those without a hoist over the machine. Load Crane for self-contained loading capability has a short piece of alloy lifting-chain with a connector to attach the Drum Lifting Hook. The Load Crane uses the Drum Lifting Hook to engage a horizontal drum. The lifting range and pivot travel of the Load Crane enables lifting a horizontal drum from floor in front of the drum tumbler up to and into one drum-holder of the drum tumbler, and back again. Cage With Safety Interlock Install Morse drum rotators in accordance with OSHA requirements for enclosure and interlock, etc. For OSHA compliance, see OSHA subpart O.1910.212 "General Requirements for all Machines." Power connections and motor controls must comply with applicable codes.
